Keistimewaan Tawau

Tawau dubbed as "Earth Farmers" because most of its land face now is farmland. Previously during the early existence during the time of British rule Tawau before the era of independence, Tawau area filled with oil (copra), rubber and manila hemp (abaca), now face Tawau has changed the face of the palm trees that stretches when viewed from on the earth, and to a lesser extent still planted with cocoa which had also previously been Tawau identity. Most of the oil palm plantations are owned Sime Darby Corporation, Sabah Softwood Sdn Bhd and Borneo Samudera (Palm) Limited.
In addition, the building also can be said to be "Illegal Heaven" because this is where hundreds of thousands of Indonesians and Filipinos, largely in Malaysia come to work legally and use the passport to seek legitimate and promise a better income than in their country. Their presence is controlled but their existence with too many and extraordinary provide an interesting phenomenon and the identity of the town of Tawau are very proud of. In Tawau, you can see anywhere, Indonesians and Filipinos are up and running free as long as the local people have valid travel documents.
